George had made a presentation for opencoffee about kanalia.tv, his streaming tv channels project. We were out for a drink last night, as a close friend of both returned home for a while. I also found out that Constantinos and George were having some online work during their early student years, where he moved on, proving that he has vision and knows how to work through it.
It’s a small world, isn’t so?
1 year agoI met Panayiotis @ the first Athens OpenCoffee event, last summer. He was the creator of monitor, the first greek blog aggregator, one of the first podcasters, that was invited to cowork at PASOK, after an email of GAP. Personally, i think he is the only and only Greek internet philosophers, because of his work, posts and ideas.
1 year agoI met Jim @an interview that Gtzi and me gave to FREE magazine, last summer. I was really surprised when i found out that a young journalist for a youth magazine in Greece was also a postdoc student… His site first and some draft workpapers related to jade issues, showed me that Jim is one of the most talented and “made to build” minds i’ve ever met. Keep building.
1 year agoI met Maria some years ago, through a Bulgarian friend. Smart, intelligent and sharp, away from home, @Harvard (for now). She left Greece for the States, a typical Greek that really WANTS something from her life…. We coworked for a while @JADEHellas, but her business interest kept her abroad. Anyway, i still remember her phonecall from the US that lasted 15 minutes some months ago… A huge business manager is waiting to enter the market. Or the markets are waiting for her?
1 year agoIoannis Michaletos is a genuine researcher. He is searching everything and knows a lot. Balkans, security, energy…and more. I fall accidentally on him @ YES forum, where he posted. We emailed each other and 3 years now we are associates.
1 year agoI met Karpidis in the second OpenCoffee event, in Athens last July. His blog is one of the best in Greek language (by google). Actually, Andrew is a physician, but i think his is one of the born-to-be journalists of our (modern) times…
1 year agoCostantinos or Costas or BigC is a friend that we know each other since… 1995. Long time, isn’t it? After 2005 he left Greece for Stockholm, Sweden. Since then he is dealing with Information Symstems Management and his current research activities are “Verification, Validation and Acceptance of Modeling & Simulation products”. Don’t know what this is all about but if the Swedish need him at FOI, there should be a good reason for that.
1 year agoWant to find who and why you are? I don’t know who can help you on that, but if you want to find out WHERE you are, GEOSERVICES is a good point to address at. Lefteris is the owner and CEO of a student enterprise, a real greek start-up, that has begun in Mytilene, Greece. His interests? tasting, -ouzo- drinking, travelling (between us he would do for an ambassador) all over the world.
1 year agoGeorge is thankfully not my man. I don’t know whose is anyway. What i eventually know, is that he is one of the smartest, original and CRAZIER people i’ve ever met in my life. A drink with him will make you feel the same, if not you, most of the women inside the bar. Enjoy him.
